Hailing from Brazil, Tiba began his photographic journey in 1993, inspired by Sebastião Salgado. After studying in the U.S., he transitioned his passion for photography into a profession, capturing a wide range of subjects from weddings and portraits to concerts, collaborating with artists like Kiesza, Duran Duran, and Diplo. Alongside his photography career, Tiba has over three decades of experience teaching capoeira, including 17 years in New York and globally. In 2018, he moved to Bali, capturing its essence through his lens. Despite the pandemic keeping him in New York in 2020, he returned to Bali in 2021 to continue his photographic journey. Tiba’s life reflects his devotion to both photography and capoeira, each frame and movement showcasing his creative depth.
